Cabinet Painting/Refresh

Location

Muskoka

The cabinets were clear pine previously (I don't have a picture)

Removed all the doors and hardware. Brush painted.

Turned out very nice. To be sure, not "factory" finish....but no drips, no runs, no heavy brush marks.

I have been back to see how it has held up and I was pleasantly surprised after 10 years of use. Only issue is around a couple of the knobs on doors that get heavily used....a bit of wear. To be expected really.

The secret to this is (like all painting) is in the prep.....I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned to remove any grease and oil.

Make no mistake, this was a lot of work. Budget a week at least.

In the city, I would suggest getting a company that removes the doors and sprays them in a shop and sprays the cabinet boxes in-situ.
